Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif issued a strong warning to Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday. He said if India attacks again, “whatever is left will also be destroyed.” His remarks come as India-Pakistan tensions escalate once again.

PM Shehbaz made these statements during a visit to the Pasrur military cantonment near Sialkot. He reviewed the army’s readiness for any challenge. Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, Defence Minister Khawaja Asif, Planning Minister Ahsan Iqbal, and Information Minister Atta Tarar accompanied him. Chief of Army Staff Gen Asim Munir and Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Babar Sidhu were also present.

In his address, PM Shehbaz condemned India’s recent actions. He accused India of starting aggression based on lies, pride, and arrogance. “India launched operations against Pakistan under false claims. Despite our call for investigations, they chose hostility,” he said.

He strongly criticized the attacks on civilians. “Children, women, and elderly people were martyred. This open aggression was a shameful violation of international rules,” the prime minister added. Labeling innocent people as terrorists, he said, was unethical and illegal.

PM Shehbaz praised the armed forces for their quick and effective response. “The enemy’s pride was crushed. Our military defended the nation with honour,” he said. “History will remember how swiftly we acted.” He also said Pakistan’s martyrs had always brought pride to the nation.

He congratulated the leadership of the armed forces. The Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, the Army Chief, the Air Chief, and the Naval Chief were praised for their coordination.

While highlighting General Asim Munir’s role, PM Shehbaz said, “He made a wise plan. I met him during the conflict, and I felt proud. Our army has lifted the nation’s spirit. The enemy was left confused and our friends were encouraged.”

He referred to the army as the “nation’s crown.” He said the armed forces had played a major role in defending the country. The Navy and Air Force were also acknowledged for their part in raising morale.

The prime minister warned India about water-related provocations. “Blocking our water is a red line,” he said. “Mr Modi must remember the history of 1971. Pakistan knows who trained Mukti Bahini.” He also linked the Jaffar Express incident to BLA, TTP, and Indian interference.

“How did Kulbhushan Jadhav reach Balochistan?” he asked. “We are determined to wipe out terrorism completely.”

He sent a clear message to PM Modi. “Keep your warmongering speeches to yourself,” he said. “We want peace, growth, and stability in the region. But don’t take our peaceful approach as weakness.” He added that India’s dream of dominating the region had already failed.

Speaking about a past alleged attack by India, PM Shehbaz called it “a thief’s move in the dark.” He warned that if such acts happen again, the response will be destructive.

“We support peace — but are fully prepared for war,” he said. “Let’s make peace together. But if war is forced upon us, our response will be decisive.”

The premier revealed that India tried to damage the Neelum–Jhelum Dam. “If they had succeeded, we would have destroyed all of India’s dams,” he warned.

He closed with a firm reminder. “We are ready for both peace and war. The choice is yours.”
